Launch of the first major Biennale project 16 artists from many nations across Australia and around the World begin an epic collaborative journey across three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Australia, Japan and Italy.  All welcome to see the artists off. Lunch and BBQ dinner included.

SYMPOSIUM #1 Blurring the boundaries of space/time

For the first Art is a time machine symposium, pioneering internet-based artist Mishka Henner is visiting Australia for the first time and will present a free lecture at the NGV International on Thursday 9 April, 6-8pm talking about his internet-based art practice and his residency for Mildura Palimpsest Biennale #10.

Jill Orr recently commenced her residency for Mildura Palimpsest Biennale #10 with her film crew and photographer capturing some fantastic images for her upcoming performance installation for the Biennale, Ingredients for a Precarious Meal.

Weaving Stories

A gathering of more than twenty Indigenous weavers in Mildura this weekend marks the beginning of an ambitious intercultural arts project for the Mildura Palimpsest Biennale #10. The weavers are beginning a nine month long project – Weaving Stories which will conclude during the Biennale a spectacular long weekend 2-5 October 2015 when more than seventy International and national artists will gather in Mildura for the full Biennale experience.
