JONATHAN KIMBERLEY
Jonathan is a curator and artist who develops intercultural collaborative projects across Australia and internationally. He was founding Manager & Curator, Warmun Art Centre, Gija country W.A. (1998-2001) and (2012-2013) selected projects incl: Lena Nyadbi’s rooftop installation, Dayiwul Lirlmim (Barramundi Scales), Musee du quai Branly, Paris (2013) and establishing the ‘Gija Two-Way Learning Program’, with CCMC, University of Melbourne (2012-13); and 20 years as a full-time artist and independent arts manager across inland Australia and Tasmania. Selected exhibition projects include, Living Water Travelling Water’, with Patrick Mung Mung (2004); meenamatta lena narla puellakanny, with puralia meenamatta (Jim Everett), Tasmania and Italy (2006-09); Kuluntjarra World Map (The Nine Collaborations) with Ngipi Ward, Pulpurru Davies, Manupa Butler, Nancy Carnegie, Norma Giles, Paul Carnegie & Jodie Carnegie (Kayili Artists), Gibson Desert, WA (2008-10); The Global Dome Unlimited with Jim Everett, Ricky Mitchell, Aunty Lottie and Domenico de Pieri for ‘Mildura Palimpsest Bienniale #8′ (2011); Tremezzo, large scale multi-channel HD video wall drawings, Hobart, Helsinki, Mildura (2012-14).  BA (Fine Art) RMIT University Melbourne (1990); MFA, University of Western Australia (2010).
